Ocean Housing Ltd is excited to offer two fantastic opportunities to join our team as Property Condition Surveyors — each with a unique focus but united by a shared mission.

🏡 About the Roles

We’re recruiting for two specialist positions within our Property Services team:

  1. Stock Condition Surveyor

    • Lead on stock and estate condition surveys
    • Forecast component lifecycles and costs
    • Support long-term asset planning and maintenance programmes
  2. Damp, Mould & Disrepair Surveyor

    • Diagnose and specify solutions for damp, mould, and disrepair issues
    • Liaise with tenants and contractors to ensure timely, high-quality remediation
    • Support disrepair claims and ensure compliance with housing standards

While each role has a primary focus, there will be opportunities to support each other during busy periods — offering variety, collaboration, and shared learning.

🔧 Key Responsibilities (Shared Across Both Roles)

  • Conduct property surveys and produce accurate reports
  • Maintain and update the asset management database
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors
  • Provide technical advice and support across the organisation
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and customer satisfaction

🎓 What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • A Level or equivalent Level 3 qualification
  • HNC in Building Construction or equivalent
  • Experience in building surveys and property diagnostics
  • Strong IT and data entry skills
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and customer service skills
  • Ability to travel across Cornwall

Desirable:

  • RICS membership or Diploma in Surveying Practice
  • HHSRS, P402 Asbestos, or Domestic Energy Assessor qualifications
  • Experience in social housing or asset management
